Why did I decide to practice acupuncture? Many years ago, I was bit by a dog, which damaged the nerves in my right hand and I lost sensation in my fingers. My doctor told me there wasn't much they could do, and surgery might be the only option if the numbness lasted longer than a year. I had been seeing my acupuncturist for another issue, and at my next visit she offered to treat the injury. After just one treatment, I regained about half the feeling in my hand. It felt like MAGIC, and in that moment, I knew acupuncture was my calling. Over the next few treatments, I regained full sensation and function in my hand. That's when I decided to dedicate myself to learning acupuncture and helping others experience the same profound healing.
I am a board-certified, licensed acupuncturist and herbal medicine practitioner. I have a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, both from Midwest College, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. I am currently pursuing my doctoral degree at Pacific College of Health and Sciences.
Whether addressing chronic pain, stress management, or general wellness, my approach is focused on supporting individuals in achieving their health goals by providing personalized, holistic healthcare.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our family of four college-aged children. I also love gardening, savoring good food, and spending time outdoors enjoying the natural beauty of Lake Country, Wisconsin.
